Pike County Schools is the largest employer in Pike County. Each employee plays a vital role in our belief that given appropriate instruction, time, and resources, all children can demonstrate high levels of critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration. Our 275 certified staff members join forces with different departments and individuals to create schools that children love. Here are just a few examples:
- Our bus drivers are the first and last PCS face that students see every day.
- Our facilities department makes sure students have comfortable learning conditions.
- Our school nurses take care of students and staff.
- Our cafeteria staff serves students nutritious breakfasts and lunches so they are ready to learn.

Thank you for your interest in supporting our schools! Volunteers and visitors play a vital role in creating a positive and enriching environment for our students. Whether you are assisting in the classroom, chaperoning a field trip, or helping at an event, we appreciate your time and dedication.
To ensure the safety and well-being of our students, all volunteers must complete the following steps before participating in school activities:
- Review Volunteer/Visitor Level Requirements
Pike County Schools has different levels of volunteer access based on the nature of your involvement. Please review the Volunteer/Visitor Requirements to determine which level applies to you.
- Complete the Volunteer Application
All volunteers must submit an application through Applitrack for approval. This step helps us maintain accurate records and ensure all volunteers meet district requirements.
- Read the Volunteer Handbook
The Volunteer Handbook provides important guidelines, expectations, and policies. Please take the time to review it before beginning your volunteer work.
- Complete Mandated Reporter Training
All volunteers are required to complete Mandated Reporter Training, which helps protect the safety of our students. After completing the training, please email your certificate of completion to:
